Russell F. Sheehan of Whitman formerly of Dorchester passed away at his home surrounded by his family March 11, 2010. He was 64. Russell was born in Boston and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a proud and honorable member of IBEW Local 103 for over 40 years. Former Officer of Local 103 including Business Manager and Trust Fund Administrator. Graduate of the Harvard Trade Program. Official observer of the El Salvador Democratic Elections. Proud 2 time member of “The Hole-in-one “ Club. And also member of Preferred Liar’s Golf Group at Ridder Country Club.

Son of the late Frederick and Lillian (Radcliffe) Sheehan. He is survived by his wife Donna (Bobbitt) Sheehan. His children Jeffrey Sheehan and his wife Janice of Quincy, and Janene Johnson and her husband Chris of Whitman. Brother of Frederick Sheehan, Jr. of W. Yarmouth, Paul of Whitman, Joseph of Abington, Donald of Weymouth, Lillian Curran, and Theresa Teehan both of Abington, and also the late Edward Sheehan, Geraldine Garney, Marion “Chickie” Plante, and Lorraine Reardon. Grandfather of Timothy, Patrick, and Cathryn Johnson of Whitman and Jonathan and Julianne Sheehan of Quincy.

 

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., WHITMAN on Sunday Mar. 14th 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Monday in Holy Ghost Church in Whitman at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment will be private.
