Russell Chapdelaine

Russell “Opa” Chapdelaine, 87 of Somerset passed away January 21, 2020. Son of the late Albert and Frances (Sheeley) Chapdelaine of Avon and Brockton, He is survived by his sons Richard J. and Francis A. Chapdelaine, and daughter in law Wendy (Malloy) Chapdelaine. Brother of Leo “Francis” Chapdelaine and his wife Shelby of Duxbury, and the late Albert and John Chapdelaine, Richard and Paul “Thomas” Chapdelaine,   Louise McCluskey and Margaret Reino.  Grandfather of Elizabeth and Andrew Chapdelaine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his dogs Zeke and Tyke.

Russell was a graduate of St. Peter’s School, Newman Prep School, and New Mexico College.  He was a U.S Army Veteran. He worked as an IT Tech for Honeywell and retired with AAFES-Europe, Munich, Germany. He had a love for photography, computers, skiing, bicycling and nature walks.

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date, and Interment at the Massachusetts national Cemetery in Bourne.
