Ronald A.  Pouliot of Whitman formerly of Medford and Everett died January 18, 2011 at age 80, at home with family. Beloved husband of Agnes (Costello) Pouliot retired teacher of Wakefield. Father of Sherree Lamb of OK, Linda Stankiewicz of Pelham, NH, Ronald Jr. of PA, Jon of Dracut, and Randall of OK. Also survived by former wife Lorraine Noviello of Dracut and 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Ronald was born in Limerick, ME, and is a graduate of the Teachers College in Gorham, ME. He worked as a teacher for 29 years teaching in Dracut and in CT. He is retired Lt. Colonel in U.S. Army retiring after 30 years as Unit Commander of 1204 Armor Recon. He served as a pilot during the Korean War and as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. He was former President of MOA Officers Club in Hanscom, MA.  Former member and Past Commander of American Legion in Dracut. Member of Whitman VFW Post 697. Past Exalted Ruler of the Everett Elks Lodge and recent member of Weymouth Elks. He was an avid reader and loved metal detecting on Revere Beach and Old Orchard Beach in Maine. Ron also loved spending time at the Costello family gatherings.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., WHITMAN on Sunday Jan. 23 rd 4-8pm.

Funeral Mass Monday in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at 10 am.

Interment at Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:15pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice, 3 Edgewater Dr., Norwood, MA 02062 or to Sisters of Providence,Owens Hall, St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN 47876.
