Allan Weir

Allan Weir, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away on August 13, 2026. He was born on December 22, 1948, in North Conway, New Hampshire, to the late Ronald Weir and the late Bernadette (Goslin) Weir of New Hampshire. At the age of 17, Allan joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country.

After his military service, Allan married Diane (Steadman) Weir. They were married for 53 years before Diane passed away in 2023.

Together, they raised their daughter, Dawn, in Boston. Allan worked for more than 30 years as a member of Teamsters Local 25.

Allan was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was the devoted husband of Diane and father of Dawn Flanagan and her late husband, George.

He was the proud grandfather (Papa) of Mia, Mari, and Justin.

Allan will be remembered for his love of family, his hard work, the many memories he shared with those closest to him, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Allan's family from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Mackinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St, Whitman, Massachusetts, 02382. Interment immediately following visitation at Bourne National Cemetery.
