Arthur T. Garrity Jr., age 76, passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2026.

Formerly of Hingham, he most recently resided with his daughter Tory (Devonshire) and her husband Scott at their home in Plympton since the passing of his wife Laurie in 2015.

He is also survived by son Jared Garrity and wife Kathleen of West Bridgewater.

Arthur leaves behind five grandchildren; Peyton, Graham and Jack (Devonshire) and Wade and Samuel (Garrity).

Arthur was born on July 17, 1949 in Salem, Massachusetts to Arthur and Stephanie Garrity. He graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School (‘67) and Salem State College (’71). He is predeceased by his brothers Michael and William, and leaves behind two sisters, Kathleen Strunk and Patricia Warringer, along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Christian Memorial Mass on Wednesday May 6, 2026 at ten o’clock in the morning at St. Joseph Church, 272 Main Street in Kingston. There will be no calling hours.
