Barbara Higginbothan

Barbara M. (Morris) Higginbothan, 81 of Whitman January 30, 2012. Wife of the late John Higginbothan. Barbara was born in Brockton, and a graduate of Boston University. She was a member of the Women’s Club, and the Italian Women’s Club of Brockton. She was a communicate of Holy Ghost Church in Whitman and she volunteered for the Whitman Library for over 15 years. She loved gardening and rug hooking. She is survived by her step-children Frances Winters and her husband Robert of Douglas, MA, Jack Higginbothan of Williams, OR, and Kathryn Becker and her husband Walter Welton of Ashby, MA. Grandmother of Jacqueline Go,and her husband Richard,  Dave Garnett, and his wife Tammy, Daniel, Ryan, and Hannah Higginbothan. Great grandmother of Nick, Natalie, Kelly, Michael and Robert.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday Feb. 7 ^th at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Whitman Food Pantry C/O Holy Ghost Rectory, 518 Washington St., Whitman, MA 02382.
