Beverly Jane Garnett of Halifax, MA passed away on August 25, 2024 after a long illness.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, James Garnett; her son Joseph Thetonia and his wife Ruth of East Bridgewater, her son Paul Thetonia and his wife Lynn of Pembroke, her daughter Barbara Foster and her husband Shawn of Ellenboro, NC, her sister Cherye (Cheryl) Melamed, her grandchildren Brandon Foster, Kashmir Fruzzetti, Brook Thetonia, Lily Thetonia, her step-granddaughter Lacey and great-grandson, Michael Foster.

Beverly was born in Somerville, MA on October 25, 1942 to William and Elva Sutcliffe. She had three siblings; William, MaryLou and Cherye. In 1960, Beverly graduated from Rockland High School. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1973 and for many years she was an active member of the Rockland Congregation. One of her closest friends was Gail Duchaney. On May 4, 1991 she married her loving husband, James Garnett at which point she moved to Amherst, MA. She then served for many years as a volunteer full-time minister, or regular pioneer, alongside her pioneer partner and dear friend Myra Bias.

In July 2023, the Garnetts moved to Halifax, MA to be closer to family. She made new friends in the Bridgewater Congregation and in her neighborhood.

Beverly was a vibrant and outgoing person, she enjoyed meeting new people and chatting with them. She was always eager to help those in need. Beverly and James enjoyed travelling to the Bayside Hotel on Cape Cod with their close friends, Buddy and Barbara Perez.

Beverly loved her family very much. She especially enjoyed the yearly tradition of taking them to Yankee Candle and of course the famous Atkins Farm for cider donuts.

Beverly will be missed by her husband, her family, and friends. Her strong faith in God gave her a sure hope that she will be resurrected to life on a Paradise earth and this gives comfort to her family and friends!
