Bruce was born and raised in Foxboro, Massachusetts, and was the beloved brother of his younger sister, Roberta. He was a dedicated student who went on to graduate from Wentworth Institute in 1959 and Northeastern University in 1962, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Bruce devoted 42 years of his professional life to working as a mechanical engineer, specializing primarily in power plant design. He took great pride in his work and was well respected in his field for his knowledge, dedication, and strong work ethic.
In 1970, Bruce accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, a decision that shaped the remainder of his life. In January of 1972, he married Jeannette, and together they became charter members of Calvary Baptist Church, which was established in June of 1972. Their faith and church community were central to their lives.
Bruce was a devoted family man. He is the loving father of two sons, David and Michael, and stepfather to four daughters, Sandy, Chris, Karen, and Barbie. He was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy.
In his leisure time, Bruce enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, bowling, and golfing—hobbies that reflected his patience, precision, and love for both craftsmanship and camaraderie.
A memorial service for Bruce will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Hanson at 10AM on this Saturday, the 9th.
