Donald L.
Centeio
Apr 17, 1957 — Jun 19, 2026
Donald L. Centeio, 69, of Carver, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Wareham, Massachusetts, Donald was happiest with a wrench in his hand. A mechanic by trade, he could fix just about anything and enjoyed figuring out how things worked. If someone had a car that wouldn't run or a project they couldn't finish, Donald was usually the one they called.
His greatest passion was cars, especially hot rods. He loved rebuilding engines, modifying vehicles, and making them faster. Donald had a larger-than-life personality and a knack for turning ordinary days into unforgettable memories. He was hardworking, stubborn, fearless, and never afraid to do things his own way. To those who knew and loved him, he was one of a kind—a true badass.
Donald was the loving father of Sherri LaFrance; Cyrena Centeio (Hall) and her fiancé, Kris Hall; and Mariah Centeio. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Donald Lee Centeio Jr.
He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Terrell LaFrance; Jasmine Heggs and her husband, Tyren Heggs; Marque Silva and his fiancée, Aria Conway; Amaya De Los Reyes; Arianna De Los Reyes; Jayce Centeio; Melody Ann Cole-Gordon and Myla Rose Cole-Gordon. He also leaves behind his adored great grandchild, Haiven Heggs.
Donald also shared a lifelong friendship with his former spouse, Paula Centeio. Though their marriage came to an end, they remained the best of friends, a bond built on years of shared memories, mutual respect, and unwavering care for one another.
Donald treasured the lifelong friendships he shared with Juan Marcelino, Mark Raymond, and Bob Alberti. Their friendship, loyalty, and countless memories meant a great deal to him throughout his life.
Donald was predeceased by his parents, Alice and David Centeio, and his brothers, David Centeio and Alan Centeio. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Gonsalves-Weis.
The family is especially grateful for the extraordinary love, dedication, and care that Sherri gave Donald, especially throughout his later years.
Donald will be remembered for his mechanical talent, his willingness to help others, his love for his family and friends, and the countless memories he created throughout his life. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on through the family he loved, the friends he cherished, and the many lives he touched.
