Edward A. Cormier, beloved father and grandfather, 88, of Worcester, 21 Indian Lake Park Way, died at home peacefully on Thursday, November 12th with his relatives and close friends by his side. A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army. He was also an ardent Harley-Davidson mechanic, rider and racer. He owned and operated Cormier & Sons Motorcycle Shop in Worcester during the early 1970's.
Edward leaves behind two sons, Irving Cormier and Paul Cormier. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Leona Cormier, and two of his children, Pearl Robert and Edward Cormier Jr.. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, Joel Cormier, Judi Harrington, Kenneth Robert Jr., Kevin Robert, Kristopher Robert, Kathleen Benoit and Krystle Robert, as well as two great-grandchildren, Joseph Cormier, Audrianna Harrington and Nicole Harrington of the United States Navy, Master of Arms, United States Marines Security, he also leaves behind 10 more great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
A service in Edward's memory will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 11 a.m at Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton, MA. Immediately following the service, a gathering for family and friends will be held at Worcester Fitness, McDonald's Lounge, 440 Grove Street, Worcester.
