George Stevens

George L. Stevens, age 64, passed away peacefully August 15, 2014 after an extended illness. Born in 1950, he grew up in and always called Quincy Point his home, though more recently he lived in Brockton, Hyannis and New Bedford. George was the loving father of Cheri Stevens of Fall River, Michelle Blue of Brockton, and Sheila Stevens of New Bedford; beloved brother of Margaret Hannon, Eleanor Stevens, the late Barbara Bottari and her husband, Robert, of Quincy, Delores Byrne of Braintree, Paul Stevens and his wife, Lisa, of Whitman, and the late Lillian White. He is also survived by his former spouse, Ann Menchin, his beloved grandchildren ……. and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday Aug. 23 rd in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
After the memorial service family and friends are invited to the Knight of Columbus Hall, 1195 Bedford St., Whitman.
