Gerry R Lang of Brockton, passed away suddenly February 15, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Gerry was born riding a Harley Davidson on March 3rd, 1955 and never looked back. Gerry was preceded in death by his parents, the late Leonard and Edna Lang of Scituate. Gerry spent his youth in Scituate, graduating from Scituate High School in 1973, before moving to Brockton with his former wife Patryce. He was a proud member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, working as a truck driver before starting his own Trucking company: Lang Transport of Brockton, while also working as a technician for Verizon. Gerry was also a proud member of the Weymouth-Braintree Elks, The Loyal Order of Moose and The NRA.
His greatest love (other than his Harley Davidson) were his two children, C Stanton and her husband Matthew of Brockton and A Lang of California. He also leaves behind his brother Donald of Colorado and his sister Linda Lapin of Florida, niece Jennifer Lapin Skolnick, nephew’s Howard and Barry Lapin. Over the years Gerry made more friends through his love of motorcycles and billiards than we can list. Though he was extremely close to: Tom V, Michael A, Terri B, Dawn S, Wayne P, Scott R, Dominic G and David Parenteau. Gerry was also preceded in death by his girlfriend Deborah Hubler and his longtime friend and roommate Jim Mccusker. Gerry’s larger than life personality and generosity will not soon be forgotten by all who knew him.
No services are scheduled as a celebration of Gerry’s life will be announced at a later date.
