Harold C. Rickell

March 22, 1957 — February 9, 2026

Attleboro, MA

Harold C. Rickell, beloved husband, father, grandfather (Pepe), and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. His life was defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep devotion to the people he cherished.

Family was the center of his world. He was married to the love of his life, Grace Rickell for 48 wonderful years, a partnership built on laughter, resilience, and unwavering commitment. He loved to drive her crazy- whether it was finding creative ways to win while playing cribbage or purposely making a mess (Knowing she loved to clean).

He was the son of Rita (Lafreniere) Rickell and the late Jack Rickell. Sibling to Steven Rickell and the late Laurie (Rickell) Brown and her husband Dave. Survived by his children, Tracey-Jo Antaya and her husband Jamie, Heather Galarza, Brandy Rickell and Jacob Rickell. In addition to his own children, he took a big part in raising GracieMae Rickell, his granddaughter.

He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 10 great‑grandchildren, each one holding a special place in his heart. Among them, his great‑grandson Harrison had a particularly cherished bond with him. Nothing made him happier than taking Harrison to karate and cheering him on with pride. His other great‑grandchildren brought him endless joy. He loved the noise, the mess, and the laughter that came with them- but he also deeply appreciated his peace and quiet once the house settled down.

His closest friends—Glen, Bobby, and Dickie—remained by his side through every chapter of life, a testament to the strength of the bonds he formed throughout his life. They have been friends for over 60 years.

He spent many years working for J.J. Nissen as a sales distributer, where he built not only a career but a reputation for having an impeccable work ethic and reliability. After retiring, he had a passion for gardening, fishing, bird watching and creating diamond artwork.

He was infamous for "being a handy man who broke everything". Eventually giving in and buying a new product. However, if you called him for anything, he'd be there at the drop of a dime.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created—simple, heartfelt, and full of warmth—will continue to bloom in the lives of all who knew him.
