Jean Duncan

December 24, 1931 — November 2, 2018

Jean C. (McCarty) Duncan formerly of Halifax and Whitman passed away November 2, 2018. She was 86. She is fondly remembered and known as Mammie. Jean was born in Weymouth. She worked as a RN at the South Shore Hospital for over 45 years.

She is survived by her children Laurence L. Duncan Jr. of Abington, Carol A. Nelligan and her husband Donald of E. Sandwich, Jacqueline R. Monturio and her husband Kenneth of East Bridgewater, Joseph W. Duncan and his wife Deborah of East Bridgewater. Sister of Jacqueline M. Walsh of Cotuit and Albert L, McCarty of Weymouth. Also survived by 5 grandchildren Daniel and Colleen Nelligan, Tayla Monturio, Alyssa and Joseph Duncan.

Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Friday Nov. 9 th 9-11 am.

A memorial service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jean’s memory to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758157, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave Boston, MA 02130.
