John J. Sullivan, 82 of Sandwich, MA, formerly of Canton passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home after a brief illness on Wednesday May 5, 2021.

John is survived by his wife Patricia Sullivan, his loving daughter Janet Sullivan and her husband Daniel Langan of North Weymouth. He is also survived by his sister Patti Smouthe of Brockton.

John aka “Sully” was a loving, devoted, and caring father and husband. He was a retired Boston Fire Fighter of Ladder 29 & Engine #52, and later worked the remainder of his career with the Boston Arson Squad, where he retired in June 2003. John also served his country honorably in the Air Force.

John loved watching the Red Sox, working in his yard in Sandwich, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington Street, Whitman, on Monday, May 10th, 4-8 PM.

Burial to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 11th, Interment Private.
