Jonathan Aufiero

Jonathan Aufiero of Weymouth passed away on August 18, 2026 at the age of 45. Jon was born in Quincy in 1981.

Jonathan's career spanned over 25 years in the Network Engineering field. Some of his happiest moments were his successes in his field and time spent playing his guitar and keyboard, especially with his Dad and brothers. Jon was a gifted musician with a beautiful voice. He was a lover of all genres of music, whether it was attending a Rolling Stones concert with his Dad or treating his Dad to a night with classical guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel. Jon enjoyed sharing this passion with his family and friends. Jon was also an animal lover, especially of his cats whom he loved immensely.

Jon was the son of the late Rhonda Matthews of Quincy. He is survived by his father, Gregory and his wife Maureen of Pembroke, his brothers Adam Aufiero of Keswick, VA: Brian Aufiero and his wife Lisa of Clinton, CT. Kevin Aufiero and his wife Heather of Merrimack, NH, and his sisters Christine Aufiero and Jennifer Aufiero,both of Pembroke. Jon also leaves behind his 4 nephews, Jeb Aufiero of Atlanta, GA, Jack and Bobby Aufiero of Clinton, CT, Cameron Aufiero of Merrimack, NH, his grandmother Patricia Matthews of Raynham as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
