Karen Ramsden

Karen “Ma” Ramsden, 78, was an independent and determined single mother and grandmother. She passed away on February 14, 2022 after an extended illness. Karen grew up in Dedham, and moved to East Bridgewater when she married. She loved her home of 60 years in EB, not wanting to be anywhere else. She loved sitting on the sofa with her cocker spaniel Zelly, watching the birds and cussing out the squirrels. She loved a good cup of coffee, and was always ready to put a pot on. She loved to chat with her neighbors and knew she could depend on them. Her heyday was filled with cookouts, music and bad boys on Harleys.

Karen is survived by her daughter Suzanne Halverson, who resides in Plymouth with husband Keith. Her daughter Kristin Sims lives in Maine with husband Benjamin. She was predeceased by her youngest, Jon R Ramsden. Karen’s adored grandchildren are Michael T. Lounge and his girlfriend Courtney of EB, Alexandra Halverson of Quincy, and Sophia Halverson of Plymouth. Karen is also survived by her sister Suzanne Moulton of Plymouth, and many loved cousins, relations and friends.

Karen’s life will be celebrated privately by family at a later date.
