Linda Marie Malone of West Bridgewater passed away surrounded by her family on September 23, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born to Albert and Jeanette Mullen, Linda was raised and educated in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School with the class of 1974. She met her husband, Bruce, and together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and resilience. They spent many years residing in Rockland before moving to West Bridgewater in 2007, where Bruce devoted himself to caring for Linda as her multiple sclerosis became more severe. Their bond was a testament to true partnership—enduring, devoted, and filled with quiet strength.
Linda’s presence lit up any room, whether it was around the table with family or at the card table where she was well-known for her legendary luck. To her, playing cards wasn’t just about the game—it was about community, joy, and often, yes, winning more than her fair share. She also loved Scrabble, bowling, playing pool, and the occasional trip to the casino, where her luck seemed to follow her. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Florida, and she and Bruce often spent time together visiting local zoos.
A devoted Yankees fan, Linda proudly cheered for her team—much to the playful rivalry with Bruce, a lifelong Red Sox supporter. Their banter was as much a part of their love story as their shared devotion to one another.
Linda loved listening to her favorite artists—especially Tom Jones, always teasing that she thought he was just the cutest. Her love of music carried through her family, from Vicki’s joy in going to concerts to Kalee’s memory of her Nana teaching her the very first song on the piano—an experience that sparked her interest in learning music further.
Alongside her devotion to family, Linda worked in the offices of Overhead Door in Rockland, Sullivan Tire in Rockland, and Russ Electric in Hingham. No matter her role, she was known as a dependable and kind colleague who brought warmth and good humor to the workplace.
Linda was the beloved wife of Bruce Malone of West Bridgewater, the loving mother of the late Vicki Lee Lucier, and the cherished nana of Kalee Lucier-Hill of Bridgewater. She also leaves behind her siblings, Bill Mullen and his wife Alice of Newburyport, and Ed Mullen of Panama City Beach, FL, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory forward. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Jeanette Mullen, and her daughter, Vicki.
Linda’s story is one of warmth, strength, and legacy. She will be deeply missed, but the love she gave and the joy she brought will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation in memory of Linda on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 9:30–11:00 AM in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, Whitman. A service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home, with burial at Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
