Margaret "Peggy" Hogan Norton

Peggy Hogan Norton, age 88, passed away peacefully at South Shore Hospital surrounded by her loving family members on Friday, May 15, 2026. Born on April 28, 1938, in Boston, Peggy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Paige) Ritz. She grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School in 1957.

Soon after, Peggy married Harold Hogan Jr., and they settled in Weymouth, raising their family of six and creating countless cherished memories. Later in life, she married Frank Norton and moved to Hanson, where she resided for many years. Peggy loved her family with all her heart—she adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known for her Mickey Mouse Tshirts, her joyful spirit, love for friends, her visits to Disneyworld and her trips to Casinos.

Peggy is survived by her children, William Hogan and his wife Rhonda of Kingston, Michael Hogan and his wife Diane of Pembroke, and Peter Hogan and his wife Debbie of Halifax. She was the cherished grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of seven. She is also survived by her siblings, Bill Ritz and Joseph Ritz. Peg was predeceased by her children, David Hogan, Peggy J.Hogan, and Nancy Hogan, and by her first husband, Harold Hogan Jr. and her second husband Frank Norton.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Peg from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the McKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington Street, Whitman, Massachusetts on Friday, May 29, 2026. A funeral service will follow immediately following the visitation at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Weymouth to take place at 11:30am.
