Mary C. Mayhew passed peacefully on December 27th, 2025. Mary grew up in Bridgewater, Hanson, and Whitman where she graduated from Whitman High School, alongside her sister Mariane E. Maloney of Hull, MA and her parents Samuel C. Jamieson and Myra Palmer. Mary was predeceased by her parents and her husband Paul Mayhew, and is survived by her sister Mariane, and her two sons, Michael and Mark Mayhew.

When Mary’s sons were young, Mary moved to Yarmouth Port on Cape Cod. Mary felt at home quickly in Yarmouth Port. She came to deeply admire the serenity and beauty of what the Cape had to offer, especially cherishing the scenic coastline and the quiet, close-knit town. This is where she was her happiest and where she continued to find joy by spending time with her cats, watching films, and knitting.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any local animal shelter in honor of her love for her animals and appreciation for her community.
