Neal Wise

October 11, 1949 — January 7, 2016

Neal A. "Mike" Wise passed away January 7, 2015. He was born and raised in Brockton: he grew up on the Richmond Street area and cared for his family on the west side of the city, the youngest child, "Bo Bo Buttons" of Albert N. Wise and Helen (Benoit) Wise. Neal loved Boston sports, the enterprise with its crosswords, fishing with his sons, softball with his daughters, shooting pool, Rummy 500, cribbage, rock n' roll, and above all, his five children: Jennifer Libby and Michael Wise of Bridgewater, Mark Wise and Desiree "Precious" Wise and Samantha "Turtle" Wise of Brockton.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his heart, courage, respect, strength, and "wise" words, but most importantly and knowingly, the unconditional love and support for his children, and his chocolate-chip pancakes. From the request of a true friend and a Dad, Neal requests there'd be no services, his only request is to "hug your child." He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Colby, Richard Wise, Ralph Wise, Helen Buckler, and (late) Edmund "Eddie" A. Wise Jr. He is also survived by his two brother-like cousin and nephew, (late) Raymond "Ray" Wise, and Edmund “Cousin Ed" Wise and wife, Tammy. He is survived by his grandchildren, Mark Anthony Jr., Maddyx, Maximus, and Ella-Mae. He also leaves many family and friends, and fellow coach/fan/never-miss-a-game parents.
