Patricia A. Gordon

Patricia “Pat” Gordon (Staffier) of Abington, MA, formerly of Roslindale, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, surrounded by her family at South Shore Hospital at the age of 77.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, Rocco and Sylvia Staffier. As well as her loving husband, John “Jack” Gordon.

She was the beloved mother of Kristine Smith and her husband Richard from Abington, Deborah Holmes and her husband Douglas from Whitman, and Jaqueline Whitman and her husband Robert from Abington. Pat was the adoring Nannie of Emily Smith and her fiancé, Zack, Mackenzie Smith, Madison Smith, Tyler Holmes, and Ryan Holmes. Devoted sister to Elizabeth Warren and her husband, Edward, of Roslindale. She was blessed to have many nieces and nephews and several other “grandchildren” who passionately called her Nana Pat.

Pat was employed by the Town of Abington for over 40 years, where she was an administrative assistant at the Woodsdale School, Abington Zoning Board of Appeals, and Abington Fire Department, where she spent 30+ years prior to her retirement in the summer of 2018.

Some of Pat’s favorite activities were attending weekly bingo at the Abington Knights of Columbus, “winning big” at the casino, and scratching her scratch tickets. The one thing that Pat and Jack loved to do together was travel all over with their friends, until they found their forever happy place in Aruba in 1989.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Patricia during visiting hours on Wednesday, January 14th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington Street, Whitman, MA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 am on Thursday, January 15th, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Bridget’s Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington, at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rockland.
