Penelope “Penny” Ann Henneman was a true and faithful servant, caring mother, loving grandmother, dedicated sister, and devoted daughter during her 78 years of life. Penny passed away at home surrounded by her children on November 12, 2021.
Born on July 7, 1943 to Elbridge and June Little in Elmira, NY, Penny is survived by her three children: Brad and Eric (Toni) Henneman, and Julie (David) Haley. She is also survived by her seven Grandchildren: Zachary Henneman and Cameron McKinstry, Sophia and Trevor Henneman, and Tyler, Luke, and Drew Haley. Penny also leaves behind two loving brothers: Dan (Judy) and Gary (Suzanne) Little, as well as many nieces and nephews.
From her shared birthday celebrations and
Saturday afternoon
visits with her grandchildren to watching all her boys’ football games or brunch with her church family, Penny loved spending time with family and friends. She was the organist at First Baptist Church of Abington where she graced her church community with the beautiful music she played and sang. There won’t ever be a time when Holy Holy Holy is sung, a football whistle is blown, or an apple pie or jelly tart eaten that won’t make us all think of every joy filled gathering.
We will remember Penny for her loving nature, her enduring faith, and her persistent, endearing stubbornness. While she will be missed dearly, we are so grateful for the time we had with her and will always feel her presence in our hearts.
A service to honor her life will be held
