Richard Adams

Richard J. Adams, 93 of Osterville formerly of Weymouth passed away Tuesday September 3, 2019. Husband of the late Gloria (Healy) Adams and the late Maureen Barracchini Adams. He is survived by his sons Robert “Bob” Adams and his wife Janet of Plympton, Richard “Dick” Adams and his wife Denise of Sandwich, Thomas Adams of Rockland and Glenn Adams of Portsmouth, NH.  Brother of Joannie Coffey of West Roxbury, Robert Adams of Naples, FL, and the late Raymond Adams. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Rich was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWII as a Radarman 2 ^nd Class aboard the USS Thuban, where he  received 5 Bronze Stars and 1 Silver Star. He worked as a salesman for his own business in manufacturing electronics. He was an Amateur Artist, and a member of the Braintree Art Association. He was an avid golfer and also loved to go fishing with family.

Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Thursday Sept. 5 ^th 4-7 pm.

A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 7 pm.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rich’s name to the Disabled American Veterans, 750 N Bedford St, East Bridgewater, MA 02333.
