It is with great sadness that the family of Richard A. MacQuarrie (76) of Woburn MA, f ormally of Wilmington, Randolph and Somerville, announces his passing on Sunday October 18, 2020 after a brief illness. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side. Born on Sept 2 1944, the son of the late Archie and Olive MacQuarrie. Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Sylvia (Spinos) and his son Richard. He will also be forever remembered by his sisters Catherine MacQuarrie, Joanne MacQuarrie, Sheryl Hurley (David), Patricia Glaser (Carl) and his sister-in-law Christine Nazzaro(Anthony) and many nieces and nephews.Richard was predeceased by his son Paul Tiberi.
He was a proud 23 year veteran of our Armed services retiring at the rank of Master Sargent in 1985 from the United States Air Force. After retiring he passed his days playing cribbage,
attending country music concerts and roaming thrift stores for that next “great bargain”. Most of all Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing good food, wine, conversation
and laughter. He will be greatly missed.
In a final act of generosity, he donated his body to Tufts Medical School (he finally went to college) in the hope that others may gain valuable knowledge.
The family will hold private services at a later date.
