Richard Perry

Richard “Ricky” G. Perry of Whitman formerly of South Boston passed away April 13, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Son of Jean Phelan, of Newfoundland Canada, and Vincent Black of Cape Cod Mass.  He is survived by his wife Linda A. (LaMonaca) Perry. Loving father of Brittany Perry and her fiance' Justin Canada, Mia and Ella-Grace Perry.
Brother of Peter Perry, Terry Black, Scott Black and Brenda Black.  Also survived by his loving mother-in-law Bridget LaMonaca and her late husband Philip LaMonaca who cherished him dearly. Also survived by his sister-in-laws Lisa LaMonaca, Loretta Lyons, and Mélissa Iskra.  Ricky was loved dearly by his many nieces and nephews.

Ricky was born in Boston, and he was a graduate of South Boston High School. He was an athlete playing numerous sports including basketball, football, baseball, volleyball and hockey for many years. He was an employee of The Department of Conservation and Recreation, working at the Canton and Bavis rinks. He loved watching football and hockey, going fishing, and traveling on cruises. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date.
