Robert Mccarthy

Robert J. McCarthy of West Dennis, MA passed away on Tuesday, July 21 at the age of 76. Originally from Medford, Bob lived in North Reading, Hingham, and West Dennis Massachusetts. He is survived by Jean, his devoted wife of 50 years; his daughter Maureen and her husband Joe Carlino of Centerville, MA; son Bob and his wife Marie and grandson Ben of Annapolis, MD; and sisters Eleanor McCarthy of West Yarmouth, MA and Mary Louise McCarthy C.S.J. of Milton, MA. He graduated from Matignon High School and Boston College.
President and owner of Dolben Appraisal and Consulting Company of Boston, MA for many years, he was a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and a member of the Counselors of Real Estate. He served as president of the New England Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, governing councilor of the AI, and chairman of the local chapter of the Counselors of Real Estate.
Loved and respected by all who knew him, Bob had many passions during his life, which included his family, friends, traveling, boating, and most of all his wonderful grandson Ben.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM this Friday, July 24 at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 347 South Street, Hyannis MA.
Burial will be private.
