Roseanne "Rosey" Stone, age 79, from Charlestown, Quincy, and Randolph Massachusetts, passed away April 26, 2026. In honor of her love of life and desire to help, Rosey gave the gift of life to others on her birthday, April, 29, 2026. Daughter of Anna Burr and Amos R. Stone. Raised and loved with John F. Burr.
Rosey was always a hard worker who enjoyed adventures, singing, dancing, and hearing or telling jokes. Her one-of a kind laugh and ability to share her emotions through facial expressions, made everyone laugh and smile with her. Rosey spent much of her life at work and home, in the company of her friends Rosalie C., Grace S., Donna G., and the nurturing staff of 18 Prospect St, particularly Sarah and Maureen. Holidays and special occasions were spent with her beloved sister Mary L. Dacey, brother-in- law Peter Dacey, and niece and nephews Rose, John, and Peter Dacey, amongst other family members.
She will always be remembered for her love of family, friends, children, and animals. Her kind nature with a sprinkle of fiesty spirit is carried on by her brothers James Stone and wife Alice, John Burr and wife Nancy and her sister Ann Marie Wells (Burr), her many nieces and nephews, include Beth Curtin (Desmond), Jean Pike (Desmond), Jennifer Heikkinen (Stone), Alexis and Ashlee Dacey, Kayla and MacKenzie Stone, Jonathan, Joshua and Leela Francis, Marisa Wolf, David and Adam Partee, and Daniel, Anastasia, Xaviah, Ashton, and K'lani Wells.
Rose is predeceased by her parents, sisters Mary Dacey (Stone) and Betty Callahan (Stone), niece Darlene Scowcroft (Desmond) and nephews John Desmond, James "Jimmy" Stone, and Ryan Partee.
An informal graveside service will be held May 23, 2026 at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree at 11am. A celebration of life will be held after at 1PM, at 302 North Franklin Street, Holbrook, come in casual clothes anytime. Red rose bushes will be available to plant at guest houses to remember Rosie and her favorite color.
