Sandra Mcginn

Sandra (Dubee) McGinn, of Bourne and formally Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on July 25 ^th , 2021 at Falmouth Hospital, surrounded by her three children.  Sandra was the daughter of the late Zepherine and Catherine Dubee.  Sandy was loving wife of the late John McGinn for 47 years.  They are now joined together along with Nana Dee Dee.  She had been courageously fighting cancer for almost 4 years with tremendous strength and grace.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Michael McGinn, and wife Katrina of Bridgewater, Laurie Principe, and husband Dennis of Westlake Village, CA and Stephen McGinn from Monument Beach.  She was the loving Nana to Michael, Robert, and Audrianna McGinn, Tripp, Turner and Kasie Principe, and Taylor and Benjamin McGinn. She also leaves behind three wonderful siblings, Elizabeth Pettee, Dicky and his wife Donna Dubee, Billy and his wife Fran Dubee, as well as John’s brother David McGinn and wife Mary and sister Barbara Sundberg.  She had a large family who loved her dearly, including Roberta Geer who was as dear as a sister.

Sandy enjoyed the simple and sweet things in life, a good cup of coffee, the warm sunshine on her face, her friends, and the beaches of Cape Cod.  She was happy to be home with her family during her final months.  She was able to visit with everyone, eat her favorite foods, sit in her yard and listen to the birds sing.  She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and loved to watch them grow and shine.

Her family would like to thank the amazing doctors and nurses who helped her along her journey.   They are grateful for the Dana Farber Cancer Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Falmouth Hospital and Cape Cod VNA/Hospice.

There will be a private ceremony at Bourne National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Dana Farber Cancer Center.
