She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her children and later her grandchildren and great grandchildren. When she wasn’t giving her time to the church and family she would enjoy tending to her vegetable garden, canning excess to not waste any of her crop, watching the Red Sox and bowling in both candle pin and ten pin leagues. She was even a player on the TV show Candle Pins for Cash.
