Shirley Annette Noon

Shirley Annette Noon (Wood) of Whitman passed away on November 29, 2023 at the age of 95. Shirley was born and raised in Bolton, New York before moving to the Boston area. She graduated the Greater Boston Academy with the class of 1946. Shirley was a pastry cook at Wakefield's Toll House Restaurant and also baked for the Whitman school lunch program until her retirement in 1983.

Shirley enjoyed reading a good book, completing crossword puzzles and working. She cherished her time traveling the U.S. and Canada with her husband and children. She was a charter member of Whitman T.O.P.S. #97 and was a lifetime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Above all else Shirley was a family woman and will be missed by all her family and friends.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Douglas W. Noon. She was the loving mother of Stephanie A. Libby of Whitman, and the late George E. Noon, James Noon and Melanie A. Noon Velazque. She was the devoted grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 19.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 11-12PM in the MacKinnon Funeral Home (760 Washington St. Whitman). A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation in the funeral home at 12PM. Burial will take place at the Colbrook Cemetery in Whitman.
