William Edward Prifti passed away on April 18, 2024, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, at the age of 87.

William was born in Brockton on August 3, 1936. William was raised in Brockton, educated at Brockton High class of 1954, and attended Northeastern University in Boston, where he earned his engineering degree. He spent five years in the US Army before working the majority of his career with Raytheon Corporation, where he traveled extensively and earned awards for projects and was granted patents for his inventions.

William married Jeanne (Jeannie) Frances Prifti (Crowley) on May 26, 1962. Jeannie affectionately referred to him as 'Billy'. They were married for nearly 61 years before Jeannie's passing in January 2023. They purchased their first home in Brockton and then moved to Framingham in 1965, where they raised their family until 1988. William and Jeannie then moved to Milton until retiring to the Cape in 1995.

William was a man of many talents. He enjoyed inventing, creating and building. He was known to be able to repair nearly everything he was challenged with. He built model airplanes and even built the Star Trek Enterprise. He made beautifully crafted stain glass windows that were displayed around his home.

William was predeceased by his parents, Michael T. and Freda (Guthro) Prifti of Wareham and Brockton, his son Douglas W. Prifti, who passed away in December 2023 and his grandson Bradley Prifti who passed away in February 2024.

William leaves behind daughter Lauren A. Murphy of Middleboro, formerly of Framingham, and husband Matthew J. Murphy of Middleboro, formerly of Abington. He was the devoted grandfather of Liam and his partner Dakota of Webster, Dylan of Westboro, and one great-granddaughter Jayde of Webster. William also leaves behind one brother, Theodore Prifti and his wife Beverly of Bristol, New Hampshire, three nieces, three nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

At William's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
