Aaron Reitano

Aaron Reitano (a.k.a. Aaron Rae) passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20 at the Hospice Residence and Healing Center at Wayland, MA. at the age of 61.  Originally from New York and New Jersey, he lived in his beloved state of Massachusetts for almost 40 years. He is survived by his loving sister, Judy, and her husband, Gus and his sisters by choice, Cyndie Barone and Joy Silver.

For many years Aaron was the lead singer and musical performer in a number of popular bands that performed to rave reviews in many venues along the east coast.  His show was an early rock and roll revival with the highlight being a tribute to his beloved Elvis Presley.  He was clearly a lover of both music and education having earned degrees in elementary and secondary music education and conducting.  Aaron also held a Master’s degree in science and was a pre-med student at U.Mass.  His true passion has always been music; he played piano, saxophone, guitar and clarinet.  For most of his life he has been a piano and voice teacher as well as a songwriter.  Aaron has educated and inspired students of all ages who have written numerous testimonials to him in reverence for the passion and devotion of his teaching and the effect he has had on their lives.

At Christmastime, Aaron dressed up as Santa Claus and played the piano at the Old Manse in Concord.  A memorial to honor him is being planned for family and friends on April 22 at 3:00 p,m, at this beautiful old historic site.
