Andrew Devine

Andrew James Devine Sr (AJ) of Middleboro, MA formerly of Whitman and Randolph MA. passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68 on January 31st 2023.

AJ was the son of the late William and Mildred (Sauve) Devine.

Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Forde Devine and children Lisa Devine Tobin and her husband Andrew of Whitman, Laurie Devine Langworthy of Goose Creek SC, and Andrew Devine Jr (Jim/Stretch) and his wife Kristen of Halifax. Father-in-law to Kristin O’Sullivan Devine of Abington as well as bonus son Michael Power. Loving grandfather to Payton Tobin, Ciara, Caleb and Brayden Langworthy, and Addison, Riley, Teagan and Timothy Devine. Survived by three brothers William Devine Jr, Dennis Devine Sr. and his wife Frances (Cookie), Francis (Frank) Sauve and his wife Cheryl, as well as sister in law Genevieve (Jenny) Devine. Predeceased by his sister Joan Bennett, and brothers Noah Devine Sr., Herbert Devine, and sister-in-law Alice Devine. Survived by his best friend Dennis Devine Jr. (Iggy) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and godchildren.

AJ was a retired career truck driver. Former member of Teamsters Local 653 as well as Local 25, he loved being on the road in his career as an OTR Long Haul truck driver. He loved the many road trips when his wife, son, or brothers joined him. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his S.O.B. members. AJ was a family man that enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, softball, hockey and golf. He enjoyed his retirement with his grandchildren. But most of all spending a lifetime with his ride or die wife Betty (BCB).

Raised in Randolph, AJ was the baby of his family. The stories of AJ and his brother Frank are endless treasures for us to hold onto. AJ met Betty and their love for each other was something that spanned the next 50 years…

Relatives and friends invited to visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Tuesday February 7th 4-7 pm. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in AJ’s memory to the American Red Cross.
