Dorothy L. (Sullivan) Barrett of Weymouth passed away at home with her family July 6, 2011. Born in Portland, ME, Dot lived in Hull and Scituate for many years. She was a proud Army Veteran serving as a WAC in WW II. A lifelong lover and learning and champion of the underdog. Dot returned to college in her later years to study human services. She was an avid reader who never lost interest in current events and the world around her. Her quick wit and sense of humor were legendary. She is survived by her children Paula Mangano Cottom and her husband Jim of Novato, CA, Sandra Mangano Shontell and her husband John of Braintree, and Sean T. Barrett and his wife France of Scituate. Sister of Mary Berry, and James Sullivan of Portland, ME, Philip Sullivan of GA, and the late John Sullivan. Proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday July 14 th in Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth at 9:30 am.

Interment will be private.
