Edmund Macdougall

Edmund J. MacDougall of Brockton formerly of Dorchester passed away April 9, 2011 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was 82. Beloved husband of Lena (MacQueen) MacDougall. Loving father of Janet E. Shinney and her husband Brendan of Whitman. Carla Miller of Aptos, CA, Trevor MacDougall and his wife Laurie of Simsbury, CT. Brother of Edward MacDougall, and Rev. John MacDougall both of Sydney, Nova Scotia. Grandfather of Kristin, Robyn, and Jesse, MacDougall, Alexander, Hayley, and Shelby Miller, and Juliet and Alexandra Shinney. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Eddie always had a friendly hello to his friends as well as any stranger that he would cross paths with. He was known by many local businesses to drop in daily to say hi. He was an avid sports fan and coaches hockey for Brockton Youth Hockey and baseball for Downey Little League. He enjoyed many hours of organizing and playing in pick-up softball and hockey games for the local neighborhood kids.

Funeral Mass Wednesday in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Interment at Colebrook Cemetery in Whitman.
