Ellen T. (Taylor) MacKinnon, 89 of North Weymouth passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021.
Ellen grew up in Hyde Park until she met and married her husband of 68 years, Richard B. MacKinnon of Weymouth. The two made their home in North Weymouth, raising five children and celebrated 35 grandchildren over three generations. Ellen’s life was dedicated to this ever growing family.
Ellen is the sister to the late George E Taylor, Arthur H Taylor and Ethel May (Taylor) Brooks. She is survived by her two younger brothers Charles F Taylor of Stoughton and Louis E Taylor of Manchester, NH.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 68 years, Richard B (‘Mac”) MacKinnon, a lifelong resident of Weymouth, their five children; Richard K MacKinnon and wife Debra K. (Lange) MacKinnon of Blaine MN, April J (MacKinnon) McHugh and husband Francis (Frank) McHugh of Florissant MO, Charles R (‘Skip’) MacKinnon of Weymouth, Methanie (MacKinnon) Allen and husband John Allen of Florence SC, Dawn E (MacKinnon) Jackson and husband David N Jackson of Amelia OH. She is also survived by a beloved step-daughter, Beverly (MacKinnon) Alderman of Excel AL.
Ellen was also thrilled to celebrate the lives of 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren spread across the United States, Canada, Norway and Austria.
