Francis X. Duggan of Whitman passed away Monday November 22, 2010 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was 79. Beloved husband of the late Katherine R. (O’Neil) Duggan. Francis was born in Boston and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School. He worked as a truck driver for New England Frozen Foods of Southboro, MA. He is a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War stationed in Germany. He was a 4 th degree member, Outside Guard, and on the Board of Directors Colombian Assoc. of Knights of Columbus Cardinal Spellman Council 347 of Whitman. Member of Irish American Society of the South Shore. Member of the Whitman VFW Post 697. He volunteered for over 15 years for Catholic Charities of Brockton and Whitman Food Pantry. He was a communicant, and usher at Holy Ghost Church in Whitman.

He is survived by his children Christine E. Ruel of Whitman, Michael J. Duggan of AZ, Mary K. Wells of Abington and the late Francis X. Duggan. Brother of Claire O’Connell of Dedham, Marion LeBlanc of Lynnfield, and the late Paul J. Duggan and Eleanor DePalma. Also survived by 6 grandchildren James and Bryan Ruel, Patrick, Terence, and Emily Wells, and Kayleen Duggan.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home 760 Washington St. WHITMAN on Sunday Nov. 28 th 5-8 pm.

Funeral Mass Monday in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment at St. James Cemetery in Whitman.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Francis’ memory to Whitman Food Pantry c/o Holy Ghost Rectory, 518 Washington St., Whitman, MA 02382 or Catholic Charities Food Pantry, 686 N. Main St. ,Brockton, MA 02301.
