Geraldine Siscoe

Geraldine "Geri" F. (Davis) Siscoe, 94, of East Bridgewater, died peacefully at home Sept. 28, 2011, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Attleboro and attended school there until her marriage to the late Wilfred S. Siscoe in 1934. After her marriage, she lived in South Yarmouth and East Bridgewater, where her son, the late Wilfred "Bill" M. Siscoe, was raised. She graduated from the Brockton Academy of Beauty Culture in 1946 and worked briefly as a beautician in Brockton until a health condition prevented her from pursuing that career. She also worked at Shawmut Mills for a short time, then worked at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Brockton, where she was the manager of the canteen and gift shop for 25 years. After her retirement from the VA, she moved to Vero Beach, Fla., but returned to East Bridgewater in 2004 to make her home there. She was a member of the East Bridgewater United Methodist Church. Geri is survived by two grandsons, Wilfred M. Siscoe Jr. and Richard L. Siscoe and his wife Dianne; along with three great-grandsons, Derek A., Brandon R. and Adam J. Siscoe, all of East Bridgewater. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at a later date, followed by interment in the Beechwood Cemetery in Centerville. Donations may be made in Geri's memory to the East Bridgewater United Methodist Church, 54 N. Central St., East Bridgewater, MA 02333.
