Glenn Johnson

June 5, 1956 — September 6, 2020

Glenn Wayne Johnson passed away on September 6, 2020, with his devoted friend Beth at his side, after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma.    Born on June 5 th , 1956, he was the son of Frank Johnson Jr. (deceased) and Dawn Johnson.  In addition to his mother, Dawn Johnson, Glenn leaves behind his best friend, Beth Schuchman, whom he enjoyed the past three years with.  Glenn also leaves his children:  Andrew Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Kristen Flanagan (Anthony), Marc Harr (Lisa), Scott Harr (Alison), Bryan Harr (Kimberly).  Glenn was “Pop” to five grandchildren, Jason, Daniel, Adam, Tyler and Lucas.  Glenn was pre-deceased by his wife Marsha (Harr) Johnson, whom he was married to for 25 years.  Glenn also leaves behind his siblings:  Priscilla Cruikshank, Elaine Fitzpatrick (James), Kenneth Johnson, Audrey Trickett (Chris), and many nieces and nephews.

Glenn studied printing at NM Regional Vocational High School in Wakefield, graduating in 1974.  Glenn worked at several local printing companies, most recently being Starburst Printing from 2005-2018.  Glenn was the most devoted Patriot’s fan that you can imagine.  He had a dream job working security at Gillette Stadium, where he got to see part of the games and meet most of the players.  Glenn collected Patriots memorabilia and player autographs, and was always sure to wear Patriots gear for away games.

Glenn’s family would like to thank the staff at the Dr. Ruth McLain Hospice House in Braintree for his end of life care.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to :  Buzzforkids.org or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held at the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington Street, Whitman, from 2-4 pm on Saturday, September 12 th .  In following COVID-19 guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed.

In honor of Glenn, please feel free to wear Patriots attire.

Funeral will be private.
