James R. Hallahan age 64 of Whitman passed away January 14, 2020 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his children, Charles Baker and his wife Beth of Mattapoisett, Nicole Hallahan, Christopher Hallahan, and Summer Hallahan all of Whitman. Brother of Patricia Fregeau, William Hallahan, Jo-Ann Beausoleil, and the late Mike and Jack Hallahan, and Ginny Sheely. Grandfather of Cameron Williams, Brooklyn Lopes, Morgan Baker and Christopher Hallahan, Jr.
James fought a good fight, battling for over a year. He worked as a mechanic, carpenter and a handyman prior to his illness, taking great pride in his workmanship. We ask that you remember James as a kind, loving man that would help anyone in need. The man who through his illness, pressed on completing many loose ends around the house to lessen the burden. James left a lasting impression on everyone he met, always offering a hand. Please remember James as a great father and friend.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
