Joseph Deegan

January 7, 1942 — May 12, 2021

Joseph P. Deegan, 79, went to eternal rest on 5/12/2021. Raised on Broadway in his beloved South Boston and later calling Whitman home. Loving husband of the late Barbara Deegan (Kelly) and stepfather to Michelle Manning of Dorchester. Lifelong friend of Bob and Barbara Smith of Rochester.  Doting owner of Aerika, his beloved GSD. Proud member of local 4 operating engineers for over 60 years (retired).  Joe loved Ford trucks and his work as a crane mechanic and later as the shop manager for both Crane Service and Shaunessy (NES). Joe also loved to camp in his RV known as the "Dog House" and to take Cruises that took him around the world. His quick wit and gentle demeanor will be missed by many.
