Joseph Messaline

March 4, 1949 — November 6, 2020

Joseph A. Messaline of Bridgewater passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at the age of 71. He was the loving husband of the late Odeth (Melo) Messaline and former husband of Caroline Rosa. Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Louis A. Messaline and Isabelle J. Wajcium. Joe worked at the Sears Auto Center in Brockton, MA from their opening in 1967 until he retired. As manager of the Auto Center he made many friends and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing for striped bass and was often seen trolling around the waters of Plymouth and Duxbury. He was also known for his carpentry/ woodworking skills, whether it be furniture projects for family and friends or dollhouses and handmade clocks for Cardinal Spellman fundraisers.

Joe is survived by his son, Joe  and his wife Wendy of Lakeville, and his daughter Jodie Amy of Florida and his most beloved grand-daughter Arianna. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Estabrook and her husband Alan of Orleans, MA, brother Richard (Dick) of Texas and his wife Ginny and the late Louis Messaline of Brockton and 4 nieces and a nephew.

There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater followed by a burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery at a date to be announced.
