Kenneth Bishop, Jr.

September 8, 1947 — December 31, 2020

Kenneth E. Bishop, Jr of Gillbertville, MA passed away December 31, 2020. He was born in Springfield Ma to the late Kenneth & Bernice Bishop

He grew up in East Longmeadow Ma, attended all of his years of schooling there and Graduated 1966 from East Longmeadow High.

He enlisted into the Navy right out of high school in 1966 and served until 1975 with honorable discharge of his duties.

He really enjoyed Hot rods as a younger man, and was known as a" Motor Head" around the town he grew up in. He also enjoyed motorcycles, hill climbs, going to the races, fishing, camping, watching football & baseball and loved the ocean. He shared all of his interests and hobbies with his family throughout the years. He really loved" the blues" for music and would play his harmonica while listening to his music and dancing around the room. He had a bright personality and loved to laugh and to make others laugh. He was a good-hearted person who just wanted to enjoy life. He loved summertime, family cookouts, and fireworks on the 4th of July. He was a devoted father and grandfather. His daughter Jamie was his whole world, as were his grandchildren. He shared a special bond with oldest grandchild Janessa who also became his whole world when she made him a "Pappy" He was so proud to be a grandfather and was thrilled to also have two grandsons. He truly loved his family with all of his heart.

He retired from Grower Direct of Somers CT as a truck driver at the age of 65 He was truck driver form the mid 80's until 2011 when he retired.

He is survived by his loving Daughter Jamie Bishop-LeBeau, her husband George (Of Holland Ma) and his 3 beloved grandchildren Janessa, Vinny and Logan. He loved his grandchildren with all of his heart. He is also survived by his stepson Frank Magagnoli Jr. his wife Cindy (of Agawam Ma) and their children Stephine, Cody, Domonick, and Adam. He is also survived by his sister Donna Comstock (of Longmeadow Ma) his two Nieces Lori Maskell & Lisa Morin and two nephews Brian Kazyaka & Eric Kazyaka and many great nieces & nephews.

He is predeceased by his sister Theresa Kazyaka and by his lifetime partner Barbara Raymond who he loved dearly.

A Burial will be held at The Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
