Margaret Creamer

Margaret Mary (“Peggy”) (Mcintosh-Harrison) Creamer 85, of East Dennis, Massachusetts, formerly of Nashua, NH, Waltham and Plymouth, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Newburyport in the early morning of Sunday, August 8th, 2021.

Peggy was born in Somerset, MA on December 2, 1935, the beloved child of the late Ronald Wallace McIntosh and Hazel (Wakefield) McIntosh. Peggy is predeceased by her first husband James Harrison and her second husband Ronald Angus Creamer. Peggy is survived by her daughter Nancy Marie (Harrison - Creamer) Forristall and her husband Charles Forristall of Newbury, MA; daughter Susan Hazel Creamer of Haverhill, MA and Oaxaca, Mexico; son Ronald Angus Creamer, Jr and his wife Katarina Creamer of Belmont, MA; and son Scott Daniel Creamer of Kingston, MA; and her five grandchildren, James Ferguson, Lea Marie Creamer, and Samantha, Elizabeth and Shannon Creamer.

Peggy grew up in the Cedarwood section of Waltham across the street from her dear cousin, the late Dr. Harold Reilly (“Hal”). She and Hal spent many a happy summer in Priscilla Beach in Manomet, MA which was developed from farm land in the 1920s by her grandfather, Neil McIntosh, Jr. Valedictorian of her graduating class at Waltham High School, she went on to study at both Framingham State Teachers’ and Regis Colleges before marrying Jimmy at age 19. At age 20 Peggy gave birth to her daughter Nancy, lost her mother that same year due to an aneurysm, and shortly thereafter lost her husband Jimmy to a brain tumor.

Despite her early losses, Peggy always maintained a positive outlook and was a brave soul every step of the way. She was kind of spirit, and meticulous in all matters pertaining to those she loved. She and husband Ron raised their family in Nashua, NH and spent summers at Priscilla Beach and Dennis.  The most loving of mothers, Peggy was creative and resourceful. She liked to bake, sew, knit and garden, and create harmonious living spaces which were filled with different shades of her favorite color, blue.  She often took on new  daunting household and manual projects with determination and always executed them with beautiful results. Peggy had a variety of jobs throughout the years before retiring and living full time on Cape Cod, the last of which was working with Ron in his cable network business.

There was so much to be admired about Peggy, and to know her was to love her. She will be deeply missed.

Peggy’s family would like to acknowledge and thank her many caregivers, including the late Christine Garner, Donna Gibson, and Kim Putnam as well as the staff at the Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Newburyport, MA.

A brief burial service for family and friends will take place Sunday, Sept 5th at 10:30 am at the family plot, Quivet Neck Cemetery in East Dennis followed by a reception at Peggy & Ron’s old house at 1 Creek’s End, East Dennis.
