Marjorie F. (Coyle) Adams of Whitman, formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 1, 2012 surrounded by her large, loving family, she was 75.  Marge was born in Boston, moving to Whitman in 1959, she resided in the same house for 53 years. Nursing was her calling and a perfect match for her loving and nurturing personality. She was a graduate of Brockton Hospital School of Nursing (BHSN) class of 1975.  Marge worked as a Registered Nurse for the Carney Hospital in Dorchester for 27 years.  She was Vice President of the BHSN Board of Directors, a member of the Alumni Association and a former Vice President of the Whitman Visiting Nurses Association.  A long-time member of the Democratic Party, Marge served the Town of Whitman on many boards volunteering her time to many organizations in order to help those in need.

Wife of 55 years to the late Thomas M. Adams, Sr., and loving mother to six sons, Thomas M. Adams, Jr. and wife Lynne of Marshfield, John J. “Jack” and Lisa Adams of San Anselmo, CA., Stephen P. and Susan Adams of Middleboro, Michael F. and Heidi Adams of Whitman, Mark R. Adams of Whitman, and Daniel L. and Karyl Adams of Whitman.  A great and loving Grandmother of fourteen grandchildren; Sage, Devin and his wife Jillian; Brandon, Matthew, and Erin; Ryan, Shannon and her husband Alexander Thomas; Airman Spencer and Callie; twins Meghan and Lauren; Michael, Eric and Daniel.  Daughter of the late Neil and Annie (Keating) Coyle and survived by her loving sisters Anne “Pat” Milligan of Acton/Brockton and Helen “Honey” Maloney of Weymouth and many loving nieces and nephews.

Marge was caring and generous to her extended family, many friends and coworkers and a genuinely thoughtful person to all she met. With a charming smile and curious personality, she could find a connection with you to which she could form a bond.  Marge will truly be missed by family, friends and all those she touched.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington Street, WHITMAN on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 4-8pm.

Funeral Mass at the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman on Friday, September 7 th at 9 am. All friends and relatives invited to attend.

Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday September 10th at 10 am.
