Born April 9th, 1922 in Waltham, MA to George Woodbury Kimball and Frances Havens Kimball, Mary Blanche grew up in Waltham, MA. While attending School Mary became “Kim”, due to a confusing number of girls named Mary in her class. She learned piano under the instruction of her Aunt, Blanche Havens, and performed at Symphony Hall in Boston. Kim lived with her Sister Esther (Kimball) Goodwin (deceased) in order to graduate from Dorchester High School after her family moved to Chester, NH. She then attended Boston University for one year. She worked for a lab associated with the Stockbridge Agricultural School in Amherst which was doing pioneering work with blood typing. While transporting samples to the lab she met her future Husband Henry “Hank” Martin Bosworth who was enrolled in the school.  He became her spouse of 65 years and predeceased her in 2010. After marrying in 1944, Kim moved to Whittier CA to be closer to Hank while he served in the Navy during WWII. After the war they moved to Plympton, MA for a year and then to Halifax where Kim lived for the remainder of her life. She worked in the Cranberry Kitchen at Ocean Spray in Hanson where she tested recipes to broaden the market for cranberry products. While working at Ocean Spray she became close friends with Barbara Sayce who introduced her to Saquish, her favorite place to vacation.  After raising three sons Kim earned a Bachelor of Education and Library Science Degrees from Bridgewater State University. Upon graduating she taught 4 th grade at the Bryantville Elementary School in Pembroke until her retirement.  Many of her former students have said she was their favorite teacher.  After retirement Kim summered at her cottage at Saquish and escaped the cold New England winters in Florida with her devoted husband.
