Meghan Cook

September 20, 1980 — April 18, 2021

Meghan Eileen Cook passed away on April 18th, 2021, succumbing to her disease of addiction. She was born in Weymouth, MA. on September 20th, 1980 and raised in Rockland. Meghan was a 1999 graduate of Rockland High School. She also had a certificate in Massage Therapy and Dental Hygienist. For many years she worked as a CNA and a Home Health Aid. This was the profession she truly enjoyed the most.

Meghan enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved walks on the beach and her favorite spot was Castle Island. Some of her favorite hobbies were photography and journaling. She had an uncanny sense of humor and brought smiles to all that knew her. Her proudest moment was the birth of her daughter Kelsey. Meghan's own words were "Kelsey you are more than a daughter to me, you are my hero, laughter, and joy. I love you angel." Anyone that knew Meghan at all knew her love for Kelsey. Outside of being a mother she cherished being an aunt to her nephew and nieces. Meghan had one of the most beautiful, purest, loving souls. Meghan had many caring friends associated with AA.

Meghan is survived by her daughter Kelsey Willett, mother Denise Burke, father Mark (Rick) Cook, stepfather Peter Burke, brother David Cook, sister Melissa Cook and spouse Joseph Fortin, sister Christina Cook, nephew Nickolaus Cook-Fortin, nieces Jackelyn and Adelyn Cook-Fortin and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
