Nancy L. (Lane) Hayward age 70 of Halifax passed away at her home Thursday October 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She had battled cancer for 7 years.

She was the loving wife of the late Ralph S. Hayward Jr. The daughter of the late Roger L. and Dorothy D. (Clement) Lane.

She attended school in Braintree and Silver Lake. She was employed at Kitty's Restaurant in Halifax for 8 years then at Sears Roebuck in Hanover for 13 years. She was very active and a life long member of the the First Baptist Church in Hanson for most of her life. She sang in the Choir, was a Deaconess, belonged to Helping Hands, was on the Music Commitee, a Sunday School teacher, and helped out in the Christian Child care Center. She was and avid decorator and sports fan. She loved cake decorating, sewing, licquid embroidering, and plastic canvas.She was a very strong and courageous woman who had a smile for everyone.

She is the loving mother of Donna H. Cameron and her husband Bruce W. of VA, Linda M.Heath of Kingston, Richard S. Hayward of Halifax, R. Steven Hayward and his wife Janice of Halifax, and the late Barbara L. Hayward. Sister of Marcia Morgan and her husband Bob of Pembroke, Bob and Carol Lane of Kingston, David Lane of Brockton, and Russell and Donna Lane of Braintree. Grandmother of Matthew and Lisa Cameron, Keith and his wife Jennifer Heath, Michelle and Daniel Heath, Meaghan, Richard, and Andrew Hayward, and Michelle and Michael. Great grandmother of Breana and Logan Heath Also survived by many nieces and nephews and her great grand dog Dustin.

Visiting hours in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St (Corner of Rte. 58) Hanson on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the First Baptist Church of Hanson 214 Main St. Hanson Monday morning at 10 AM. The Rev. Steve Youd will officiate. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nancy's memory to First Baptist Church of Hanson 214 Main St. Hanson, MA 02341.
