Paul A. McLeod of Abington July 5, 2011 died unexpectedly and passed in his sleep at the age of 94. Paul was born and raised in South Boston before moving to Dorchester and then to Abington in 1973. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II as a military police, and he continued that service retiring as a sergeant from the Boston Police Dept. in 1981. His last assignment was as the community relations officer for District 3. Paul was always an active member of his local parish, a deeply religious soul who also enjoyed contributing to the needs of the local senior center and community.

Paul is predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years Mary (Flanagan) McLeod. Paul was and always will be the most loving father of Paul Jr. of Derry, NH, and Thomas McLeod of Aruba, and their wives Marguerite and Sandra. Brother of Lorraine Flanagan of Hingham, Ethel McNamara of Tewksbury, Joseph McLeod of Tewksbury, John of Marshfield, Edward of Randolph and the late Frank and Richard McLeod. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Sunday July 10 th 2-6 pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday in St. Bridget’s Church in Abington at 9 am.

Interment will be at 1:30pm at Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne.
